JOB DUTIES:

• Utilize design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate road
• drainage design and ancillary road design elements including signage, striping, traffic
  signals, and utilities.
• Work in multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate the integration of roadway designs with
  other disciplines.
• Consult with and help provide guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff
  regarding project requirements for various designs and modifications.
• Help ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  Attend transportation engineering conferences and seminars
• Familiarize yourself with Avenue and participate in our strategic planning and growth of
  the new Nevada office.
• Help acquire new contracts and clients by identifying opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required
• 6+ years of relevant experience in transportation engineering

Skills

• Strong written and interpersonal communications skills
• Desire to learn national design standards and NDOT’s standards
• Detail oriented and self-starter; can work independently and in a team environment
• Desire to identify and solve complex problems
• Willingness to learn, provide feedback, and receive feedback
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Workfront, MicroStation, ProjectWise, InRoads,
  and/or OpenRoads is a plus

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing
