ABOUT THE ROLE:

Avenue Consultants is excited to be growing our Traffic Engineering team! We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to support traffic signal operations projects. Some of the specific opportunities would include:

1. Traffic analysis using Cube, Synchro, Tru-Traffic, VISSIM models, data analysis, and statistical analysis
2. Signal timing plan development and implementation
3. ATSPM development support
4. Traffic counts and field observations
5. Effectively summarize and communicate data, processes, and results

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a self-starter with a detailed understanding of transportation engineering and modeling of rural and urban roadways. Specific experience with delivering projects for the Department of Transportation and other local municipalities to Utah is desired. The ideal candidate is someone with excellent communication skills, an attention to detail, and established client relationships who enjoys working in a team environment.

To be successful, this person should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
2. Experience using Cube, Synchro and VISSIM
3. 2+ years relevant professional experience in Traffic engineering
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office
5. Good communication skills
